Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here
It seems we already have something in common – a shared love for travel.
We’re just an ordinary family with an extraordinary passion for exploring. When our daughter was born, we didn’t give up on our love of travel – we simply brought her along for the adventure.
Travel has always been an essential part of my life. For years, my husband and I explored the world as a couple, and now, with our daughter, we set out as a trio whenever we can. Family travel has shifted our perspective: we notice different things, pay attention in new ways, and value experiences we once might have overlooked. It all requires a different kind of planning and mindset – and that’s part of the beauty.
Back when we traveled as a couple, we wondered what it would be like to hit the road with a little one – and honestly, we were a bit nervous. But now we know: the experience isn’t better or worse, it’s simply different. And in many ways, even richer.
For me, the excitement begins well before the trip itself – I love the planning stage! Dreaming up destinations, finding the perfect place to stay, mapping out sights to see – it all brings me so much joy. While I may seem overly organized, the truth is, I plan in detail so that once we’re there, we can fully enjoy the spontaneous, carefree moments. Whether it’s a week-long getaway or a quick weekend escape, we try to make the most of every moment.
We mostly travel within Europe, and it remains high on our travel wishlist.
I know how overwhelming planning a trip can feel – especially if it’s your first time, or if you’re traveling with young children. Stepping into the unknown is exciting, but it can also be a little intimidating. I’ve spent countless hours searching for real, experience-based advice that actually helps turn a dream trip into reality. That’s why I don’t just share our stories – I also offer the practical tips and ideas that have made our own travels smoother and more enjoyable.
Here, you’ll find family-friendly experiences, useful recommendations, and honest reflections. I hope my posts inspire you to fully enjoy every moment of your journey – whether it’s a big trip abroad or a simple day of exploring close to home.
Happy travels!

WanderingKite – „Wander and find the magic in moments.”
Travel isn’t just about round-the-world adventures, faraway escapes, or checking off bucket lists.
It’s about the moments we share, the joy of discovery, and the way it changes how we see the world.
A weekend getaway, a hidden gem close to home, a spontaneous laugh, or the taste of something new – these can be just as memorable as any grand adventure. Every little adventure counts – anything that breaks the routine, brings new experiences, and puts a smile on our faces. Because often, it’s the little things that take us furthest from the everyday.
Travelling with Food Intolerances – Real Tips from Real Experience
My husband follows a strict gluten- and dairy-free diet, which means every trip we take requires a bit of extra planning. We know how tricky travel can be with dietary restrictions—but we’ve learned how to make it work smoothly and joyfully.
Now we’re here to help others do the same: sharing practical advice, personal tips, and free resources so that your journey isn’t defined by food struggles, but by freedom, flavour, and discovery.
