When you or a loved one lives with food intolerances or needs to follow a strict special diet, travelling suddenly becomes a lot more complicated. For us, this isn’t just theory – my husband follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet, which means we have to carefully plan every trip around how and where he’ll be able to eat safely.
In the beginning, it was overwhelming – sometimes even discouraging. But over time, we gained experience, built a routine, and learned how to travel in a way that doesn’t see food sensitivity as a limitation, but rather as a chance to be more mindful and prepared.
On this blog, I’ll be sharing more and more allergy-friendly travel tips based on our real-life journeys – openly, practically, and from the heart. Our goal is to support others in similar situations: to show that food restrictions don’t have to mean giving up on adventure.
With the right planning, a bit of creativity, and a conscious mindset, it’s absolutely possible to explore the world in a way where the lasting memories aren’t of food stress or dietary struggles – but of freedom, flavour, and the joy of discovering together.

Eating with food restrictions while traveling? It just got easier.
